Hello
I did it i had my hair cut!!!! :~O)
I do like it but i'm not happy with the fringe, it'll be ok and i've hd it shorter than normal as i need to be able to see by the end of my holiday, plus i've had it cut straight across rather than rounded like i normally have it! :) i'm not posting these pics on facebook until monday as i want to surprise my friends who i'm going out with on Sunday night. so shhhhhhhhhh:o)
I know they are not the best photos and i'll try and get some better ones at weekend!!!!
I bought the gLee Madonna album of Itunes today, i loved the Madonna episode it was fab. can't wait to listen to it!!!
I also had a bit of a sort out of my holiday clothes, all my bikinis fit!!! (i know i know bikini on my body, well last year i only took one and i wasa glad i did as my tankini really irritated me as soon as i got out the pool my stomach was cold and made me feel ill, so i was constantly chaging my tankini tops but with the binini it was ok and as we were quite secluded i didn't feel selfconcious too much. this time might be differnt as we'll be on a massive complex but i've got a swimming cossie and a tankini to take as well.) My navy linen pants are miles too big so i need to get some more. and i have way too many other clothes to take, but my holiday colour is Navy and other varying shades of blue!!! the only other colour i have is a white cardie and some Kharki shorts!!!

and i want to lose weight this week!!!
it'll be ok, just need to be good this week and home afew people come out so the miss i'm on slimline tonic rather than vodka and slimline tonic!!! hehehe :)

75666 Steps
Yay!!! i increased my average steps this week. From 10563 to 10809 average steps per day!!! I really wasn't sure i'd do it as i'd worked out i needed to to 7952 today to increase my average by one step!!! (sad i've been calculating all week!) and at 5.30pm i was only on 3000 steps (ekkk) but after tea i decided to go for a walk, i'd only planned to walk to that step amount but my mum decided to come for a walk as well.
we went over the grotton walk (old railway lines) then back along the main road and i got to 9674 steps today!

Just gotta work hard to increase that average next week.
At one point i didn't think i'd be going for my walk as when we got home from town the weather had turned back to April Showers!!!
CJ - do you still want me to post pics of the UK?
On a more cheery note the Camellias in my Grans Garden look really pretty in the rain.
Now if you have read this far i would like you to cross you fingers and pray that i lose 2lbs tomorrow. It was looking good but the beggining of the long awated TotM has made an apperance this morning!!! we shall see if it continues (sorry TMI i know!)
Did anyone watch Doctor Who? (i may be a week ahead of people i as i'm in the UK!!) The angles (i'm scared of them big time!) love Alex Kingston and still liking the new Doctor, i didn't want to like him but i really do!
Now this might be more of UK people but did anyone watch The Five Daughters, i can't believe the Ipswich Murders were only in 2006. In some ways it seems like such a long time ago but in others it doesn't seem like two mins ago watching ti all unfold on the news. I'm looking forward to watching again over the next two nights xxxx

Achy legs - but feeling good!!!
i went shopping in Manchester today and boy did we walk. over 18000 steps i got a dress from H&M but i might return it, i'll try it on again tomorrow before i decide.
I love Manchester and i really should go more often. i took my camera but forgot about it till it was nearly time to come home, a couple of shots of the catherdral and one of URBIS - well it was URBIS its now been closed to make way for a football museam - hmmm i'd rather have kept URBIS!!!
food wise not a brill day as i ended up with a butty from M&S but had a good tea and not feling too guilty about having some "bad foods"
The SP is still looking good. i'm not using it as an excuse to pig out back in track from tomorrow AM.
I also signed up to Formsprings thingy, where you can ask any qustions, there is a box on the right hand side if you want to ask me anything. not to sure about it but it seems to be the new thing! :)

I love the kisok at work today i did my friday wi on it and i was in the next stone down!!! yippeee (but i've had a binge since i got home so may have undone some of my good work!)
It was lovely to see that number 16 flash up on the display!!!! fingers crossed that will show on SW scales on Monday!!!
I'm going to manchester shopping tomorrow so should clock up a fair few steps. for dawns pedometer challenge we need to better our steps each week. well i did loads last week so in a bid to better that average even if its just one step more!!! i need to do 13062 steps each day tomorrow and sunday!!!! ekkkkk

yesterday i made SW pork burgers for Tea (not sure if i blogged this yesterday but i've just uploads thos weeks pictures to the computer and found a picture of them
They look a bit pale as they had been cooked in the oven
Recipe:
1 pack of low fat pork mice (i used TESCO healthy living)
½ cooking apple grated
1 small leek finly shredded
1 small onion finely diced
hand full of small mushrooms finely diced
ground black pepper
a shake of chilli flakes
I mix it all together then leave it in a bowl in the fridge to allow it to rest then make in to as many burgers as it will make (i made 6 regular burger sizes and 6 christmas cookie star shaped burgers )
To cook grill or cook in the oven for 20-30 mins or until cooked through.
we had them with SW chips, savoury rice (thai sweet chilli) and bistro salad leaves with tomato, cucumer and extra beetroot.
good night folkes and have a lovely weekend xxxx

A Far More Cheery Post
Hello.
What a differnce a bit of sunshine makes (and a day off work).
We went shopping in Bolton today, god i love Bolton, the grass is always greener i'm sure any Boltonions reading will think i've lost my mind. But its such a good town for shopping - Where i live we are a little lacking in certain shops ( M&S, Zara, Lush, Accessorise - to name a few)
I went in Lush looking for a facemask, and i was the only customer (i might have been the only customer of the day) i hate it when shop assistants bombard you as soon as you walk in, a quick hello is fine but not a full on assault. To give the girls in Lush credit as soon as i said i was just browsing they were fine, then came the general chit chat and i got a free sample of Love Lettuce Face Mask
Its an amazing product - my face feels lovely. i feel quite bad for not actually buying anything from them but next time i'm in bolton i will defo buy a tub (the prices in store are cheaper than the website)
Its a fresh product so i've only got a week to use it so i'm glad i didn't get a big tub of it, but if they have a new batch in when i go i'll defo get a big tub!!!! :0)
What i really wanted to talk about tonight was sneaky peeks.
Obviously this is not me having a sneaky peek!!! BUT do you weigh in unofficially through out the week. If so do they motivate you or demotivate you. Do you pay any attention to them or can you ignore them till you officially wi?
If i'm honest i weigh myself about every day some time more than once. i can distance myself and the only weigh in i count truely is the one i pay for at slimming world. BUT i am facinated with how we gain weight through out the day and what i don't get is how after a massive night out i weigh less in the morning and tend to hve a good wi that week. i know that there are many influences that make weight fluctuate but still they facinate me.
I also find that if i have a good SP i tend to feel motivate and can carry on being good, but if its a BAD SP i tend to think sod it and eat for england, wales and Northern Ireland (sorry scotland i can't face the idea of deep friend mars bars!!!)
I decided last night i'm going to have quite a lot of my hair cut off. (thinking a bob) BUT i was flicking though a magazine and realised i might look like dawn french- ekk i'm torn. not made an appointment yet ( i was thinking of having a long bob but after seeing picks of Dawn (who i love as a comedian just not a style icon) i'm not sure)
The top pic i quite like her hair, but the bottom i hate (i wouldn't have the lob sided fringe) (i also defo want my fringe cutting back in!)

Wow Wednesday Already!!!!
How did that happen?
weird week. i'm doing pretty well with the pedometer challenge. don't over 13,000 steps today.
I went for a walk at 6.15 am for 45mins it was so couldm frost on the cars and grass. but i felt good for it. work was a little crazy. Today was Day 90 since they announced all our work was moving to a differnt part of the country and we were taking over general call centre (residential contact centre - official title) There has been so much too-ing and fro-ing, no definate answers confusion over some of us signing new contracts but no why. differnt hours of work. but not what.
At the moment most of us work one in five saturdays, and we'd guessed they'd make it one in three as thats what the majority of the other sections do, well new shifts were announced today. When the manager made the announcement, she said she couldn't answer any question and gave the new shift pattens out. we have a choice of working one in two saturdays or working every saturday. its mad. its way too much. also a lot of the patterns involve working longer hours or later in the evening. also we work 37 hour weeks and soe of the shift patterns only add up to 32 hours. its so hard when we arn't allowed to ask questions until our consultation with the section manager.
sorry i know this is boring just needed to say it!!!!
I've got a cracking head ache as well don't feel brill think its stress. going to chill out on my day off.

Sun Burn = ouch!
yep summer has finally hit for how long, who knows!!! and i have got burnt across my chest and top of my arms. OUCH i shall be wearing sun cream if its nice tomorrow!
We went for another little walk today, we went to a place called Uppermill in Saddleworth. Its only 15-20 mins away from where we live and its a lovely village. they have a cute park and its lovely walking along the toe path. we even went over the stepping stones and didn't fall in!!!! yippppeeee
Which was surprising really as some of them were wobbly and children where crossing the other way and didn't really want to give way at all!!!
I've impressed myself with the amount of walking i've done today:

How the Ducks slept through the commotion of screaming children is anyones guess.
I love canals , i think they an amazing feat of engineering and i love the way that barges can go up hill via locks, there is something about them that i find so facinating, maybe its becuse the town i'm from is a cotton town and mills and canals are such an imporrtnat part of our history then again i could just be a geek!!!
Another facination are viaducts, such amazing structures (i am quite easily impresses)
This is the underside of the arch in the above photo.
I've impressed myself with the amount of walking i've done today:
Steps: 15303
Aerobic steps: 4647 (44mins)
Kcal:693 (39.19g)
KM: 4.59
We're planning to go back to Alexandra Park again tomorrow .
Finally cn everyone ho read sthis cross their fingers and wish for the ash cloud to bog off soon i have a holiday to go to!!! (3weeks tomorrow!)

My Perfect Week is Ebbing away
I gave into temptation again today.
I wish TotM would bloody hurry up, now i know its no excuse to eat crap but i was like a woman possessed before them my friend bought a huge bag og M&Ms at the cinema and i had a couple then had to go back for a handful!!!! Bad Bad Bad!!!!
I WI on the superduper snazzy machine at work and i've lost 2lbs from last fridays WI. now i'm not paying any real attention to this WI result but becasue its there and it does a print out i feel that i should take advantage, got some pretty graphs not sure whtat they are all about but will have a look properly tomorrow and if they are of any interest i will share.
I've just got home from the cinema to see the blind side i've already seen it once but it was just as good the 2nd time around and i always say i hate Sandra Bullock movies but really i don't. i actually like quite a few of them and she has some cracking lines in this one.
"Quick as a hiccough" is one of my faves.

Or i was until i had a mad binge spree and gave myself indigestion. I don't know what came over me i had to eat and eat i did! i wasn't even hungry. i'm hoping to blame ToTM, but it hasn't arrived yet and it feels like its ready to.
In the slimming world Magazine this month (in the food news section) they showed the below cheese. Tesco Lighter Red Leicester Style Cheese, you can have 42g as a HxA (as opposed to 28g of standard cheese). Today i did just that.
I worked out that 42g is approximatly 1/6 of a block and i cut free hand.

Then i thought i'd best double check.
Please excuse the state of the scales they don't look that bad in real life! BUT i really suprised myself getting it so close. i wasn't going to phaff about for 1g, plus as i was grating it i'm sure 1g got lost in the process.
Yum Yum Yum, grated ch
eese a tiny drop of milk, a splash of wostershire sauce and some ground black pepper, it ws delcious!!!
Even before the cheese on toast, i went for a walk, i went back round the waterwalks, this time with the pedometer in toe, and i'd done almost 8000 steps before 9am.
I did a slighty differnt route today, instead of turning right just before the big hill i walked up it, juts to see what was at the top of it (answer these horses) along the top road then down the stone steps (see earlier post for pics) then did my usual 3 times round.
These ducks were so cute moving at the same time they reminded me of an elderly pensioner couple so in sink with each other.
King (or Queen) of the ressie - barking for ages before it toddled off for a swim.
I went for my Spa day, i don't think it was worth £12.00 but at the same time i really enjoyed it so would spend the money again.
The main pool ws lovely but only did a few lengths as my friends we more into the Hydro therpy pool. The Hydro pool was fab it was billed as the outdoor pool, but outside in the loosest sence of the word as it had a roof. HuH outside, yeah thats what i was thinking, but the outside wall instead of a window had a roller shutter that was open so the outside could come in!
we went in 2 of the saunas, the Ice room was a bit of a disappointment, it was litterally a bowl of ice to get hand fulls of and rub over yourself and the mood showers well err were just a normal shower i think. the aruoma sauna didn't seem to be working but the steam room was good. it sounds like i feel really negaitve about it but i did really enjoy it. i felt so relaxed and my skin feels so soft and i feel so much better for it.
Then we went back to my friends for a healthy salad, they had feta cheese and i had low fat cottage cheese and chicken with salad and a wholemeal pitta. The we all settled down on the sofas with a facepack a couple of slices of cucmber and a relaxation cd. was very nice.
for tea we had seabass, new potatoes, salad and a fruity coleslaw that my mum made.
After tea i've just picked and picked and picked. don't know what was up with me, i feel a bit sicky now!!! WHY O WHY do i do it!!! after getting 4 stars yesterday i'm only getting 2 today. even though its been fab exercise wise x
I'm sure everyone has heard by now but a volcano in Iceland has errupted and the majority of flights in the UK and parts of europe has been suspended due to the ash cloud, i feel quite worried about it. not sure why. but i don't like seeing all these things going wrong. i do hope everything settles down soon and everyone gets their holidays / travel plans sorted soon xxx

roll up roll up
The title might lead you to a false sense of excitement as its nothing to do with what i am going to post, actually as i type i don't know what i am going to talk about.
1st thins 1st STEPs
8093 steps
2791 aerobic steps (26mins)
371 Kcals
2.43 KM
I'm please to announce i got all 4 stars today!!! yipeeeeeeeeeee!!!
I have had 2lts of water!
5 portions of fruits and veg
Exercised for 30 mins
and stuck to Syns (infact i am under syns 8.5!!!)
On my lunch i walked up a road that i have never been on before - my office has been in its current location for 3 years and i have only ever walked from the train startion to work then up to tesco or the middle brook. the road i went up my mum has driven up it once but as there is a lot of building work going on its changed. but as i didn't need anything for tesco and i felt like some exercise i walked up, i did 26mins aerobic walking .
Not the most thrilling of views and nothing to look at. you can just see my office its at the top right of the bottom photo.(its the red brick with the greeny looking windows at the top - click the pic to make it bigger and see it better!)
Tomorrow i'm going for a mini spa day with my friends to Norton Grange. its £12.00 and from what my friend said we get use of the pool, jacuzzi steam room, ice bath and sauna. not i'm not a very girlie girl but i'm looking forward to it. i just wish it was in a week and a bits time when i get paid so i could have a facial or something but can't really justify it at the moment!
I'm hoping to get up early an get a walk in before they pick me up at 9.30am! but if i'm back early enough my mum has sugested a walk round Dovestone ressivour which is lovely so that will be good fingers crossed its just a morning with my friends xxx

Step into christmas
haha ok maybe not but steps walking and all that that entails!
my pedometer died this morning (i blame the cheapo battery!) so i don't know how many steps i did today. a great way to start a pedometer challenge i know!!! but i think i did about the same as yesterday. but i'm going to record it as a missed day.
Good news i have purchased a new battery! so back in business tomorrow.
i like challenges and i really liked the idea Blue posted about a website that are doing a walk around the world challenge. now with them you get to destinations by hours. now this is good but i was thinking and i think i am going to do my own mini challenge and vercually walk to place based on KM (My pedometer record KMs rather than miles)
Nott sure what my actual plans are going to be so i'm going to plan this week and kick it off on monday when my work pedometer challenge starts.
ideas so far:
Vertual race for life 5KMs
Vertual 10KMs
Vertual 21.1 KMs
Vertual Marathon 42.2KMs
Eventually John O'Groats to Lands End 1617 KMs (the link is someone who cycled it in real life i was only looking for the KMs but its quite a good read.
Thinking about this logically it will be a cumulative total as there is no point racking up all thes KMs only to have to start again.
going to google some differences places and find some more places to vertually walk to.

I also tried a new food today Physlis i've tried them before but i didn't like it but as it was only 50p for a bag at tesco so i thought i'd give them ago and i really liked them.
will defo have to get some again xxx

ciabatta yum yum but has to stop!
How can something so delicious be so evil?! haha weill slight exageration and i feel quite greatful i didn't weight the ciabatta roll i had but on agerager an 80g roll is 10syns and i have had 2 of them!!!!
I have also decided to go ahead with the star system i mentioned in an earlier post that has been stolen from another blogger. (see earlier post) i have decided that i can earn upto 4 stars a day.
1: 2 ltrs of water a day
2: sticking to 15 syns a day
3: 5 portions of fruit and veg a day
4: 30 mins of exercise.
i'm aiming for at least 3 out of 4 a day. as i've been so rubbish at sticking to my syns.
but the fruit and veg is going to be the easiest and i'm talking portions of fruit and veg not just per item of fruit and veg i have! most days i have between 4 and 8 portions so easy peasy lemon squesy?!!!
water will be on when at work harder at weekend saying that i have had my full 2 ltrs today!!!
exercise not so good becasue i work long hours i tend not to do too much but i am going to try and walk for 30 mins each lunch time which should garuntee me a star!
Its weigh in day again tomorrow. not sure i will get my 3stone award but the meal was worth it!!! :0)
One thing i wanted to mention was that i have noticed a lot of people (myself included) beat ourselves up far too much over one bad day or one bad meal. we need to stop. i'm all for cutting back to make up for a big meal or event but there is no need to beat ourselves up if we go over Syns or points or calouries or what ever else can be counded and used as a weapon of tourcher.
remeber one bad meal does not make a bad day. draw a line and move forward, don't dwell on the past. the scales know what we have been up to and only you can put it right.
I'm starting a pedometer challenge tomorrow that i came across via blue and Dawn is running it, i think its a really good idea and will get me focussed for the step challenge at work that starts 19th April.
i had my pedometer on today and i did
5629 steps
of which 3220 where aerobic (30 MINS)
burnt 244 kcal (according the pedometer) (14.2g)
and walked 2.25KM (1.39miles)
Not bad going to say i didn't put it on til about half 12 and all we did was go to Sainsburys, walked to my grans and walked the long way home.
good luck for wi's this week and put that chocolate down!!!!
nighty night x
What's it like in New York City?
Evening all.
feeling a bit better today, still got ear ache but i hope its just a 48 hour thing.
I've just been out for a meal with my mum. it was really nice then we went to a couple of pubs. was a nice night, don't think the scales will be very happy about it but i had a good night.
We went for a walk in Alexandra park this morning which was really nice. it somewhere a lot of people avoided for a while as was at the centre of some racial violence and in the area where the riots were a few years ago (sounds really bad but i do live in a nice place)
the park is beautiful and it was lovely and sunny this morning.
As you can see its a very pretty place.
This is what i wore tonight when i went out for our meal.
And this is where we went
And what we drank
Last photo of the night.
The title of tonights post is a Line from"Hey there Delilah ~ Plaine White Tee's.
Someone was singing it in the pub \and i love the song, but i kinda wish someone could love me. write me a song or at least tell me they loved me.
i've just read a book called Jemima J (shit chick lit) but it was about a girl who starts off about 16stone who falls for someone at work who they become friends with them but they won't look twice at her becasue of her size, then she meets someone on line sends them a fake photo of a skinny version of her self them embarks on a megga crash diet and crazy exercise plan and gets to 8stone and flys to LA to meet them. i think the author was trying to get the point across that loosk don't matter but i tell you what they do. people can be so superfial. and it makes me feel a little crazy.
maybe i'll need a personality transplant as well as a tummy tuck once i lose weight?!
who knows
