Quick Update

Not much to say really.

Not weighed myself for 2 days so not sure how this weeks weight loss is going but not weighing in again until 7/2 so doesn't really matter what i weigh now as a lot can happen.

Weeks update, i had a job interview yesterday for a company in Manchester, the job although to most won't sound very exciting i like the sound of it, and its something i know i can do so if they offer me a job i will be accepting, and this afternoon i had a voice mail from the recruitment people that i've got a 2nd interview 11/2 (fingers crossed) like a fool i left my phone upstairs so i only got the message at 8pm i have emailed the woman to say book the 2nd interview in and i told her on the phone today what ever time and date they say book it in and i'll be there!

I go away on Sunday so quite bad timing but if they are willing to wait till i come back it can only be a good thing? eh? fingers crossed?!

I think i'm about 90% packed for holiday. I'm struggling as not sure what the temp will be like at night, different people saying different things, so got a few pairs of leggins, 2 lots of linen pants and i'm travelling in Jeans, got a skirt and 2 dressed. lots of t-shirts and cardies and a shower proof very thin coat, loads of swimwear! but i always regret not taking enough! we have a washer so its not like i have to wear anything twice dirty but still its hard to know what too take!
I am planning on losing weight on this Holiday. we are quite far from the centre so we are planning on walking and taking advantage of the fitness equipment on the prom!
Going to take lots of photos, and planning 2 trips. One to a market near Playa Blanca and one to the Green Caves, we are also going to go to Aricife on the bus and maybe even to the shopping centre in Playa Del Carmen. The bus service is fantastic so why not use it! and if we have bad weather there is always IKEA! :0)

I am ready for this Holiday big time! i kinda want a net book so i can stay in touch. but never used Wifi other than at home and not sure what it'll be like over there. plus its a bit sad. Me and my mum have been dropping hints about ipads for weeks to my dad. They even sell them in our local tesco but so far he's not fell for it. we moved on to hints about the cheaper net books but so far he hasn't been to Tesco or if he has he hasn't bought one! Dam. if i want one i will have to get it tomorrow. Hmmmm decision times!

Right i am offski will blog tomorrow before i go.

and if anyone finds or knows what the hell i did with my reactors, they have black frames with sparkly bits and made by Jasper Conran himself! kthankyoubye! xxx

Abba didn't totallt wreck my weight loss

I did it i lost 2lbs!The weight of this dog

34lbs total the weight of this fish

15.5lbs left to go to get me back to where i was - the weight of this dog
Seems quite achievable when you break it down into pictures!

Food today hasn't been brill but tomorrow new start, i miss the next 2 wi's due to being in Lanzarote! i've said i want to maintain but really i want to lose, hoping to do plenty of walking we're about 30mins from the main resort and we are planning to walk down to the beach most days or evenings, and 2 trips one to the green caves and one to the Market near Playa Blanca so plenty of walking, there are also exercise machines along the prom so might make use of those! x

1 final thing, i am in love with GLEE! its a programme i want to hate but i love it, but not enough Puck! so here is a few pics of him to cheer me up on today what is supose to be Blue Monday - the most depressing day of the year!!

So i may have gone a little puck mad but hey ho!

I've such great support from the SW Peeps on Twitter not sure what i'll do with out them in Lanzarote! xxx

Gimme Gimme Gimme a .......

My head is awash with ABBA songs after last night and i might even have to find our copy of Mama Mia.
I had such a fun night, i wore heels (til 10pm) i don't do heels! just trying to put the pics on FB no doubt it'll take ages!

The Food was fab, i've been to a couple of these Cabaret type shows at The Willows in Salford which is cheaper but the food is very much airline ready meals, but the food at The Pines was amazing and i was a bit worried as the only thing i really fancied was in a sauce, i couldn't have it on the side as it was like a stew but it was lovely very lean rump steak with bacon lardons i prob sould have left them but they were back bacon and no fatty bits! what i also liked was although we all had different the foosd all came at the same time (there were 9 of us) it was all cooked beautifully, no one left anything and everyone said how nice it was i think that's unheard of before!
Melon to Start
Braised Beef with Lardons and onions, Mash and roast potatoes (i did have a few chips)

 Peach Melba
Then this morning i did have full english but mines didn't come with Sausage, i took the fat off my Bacon, had brown toast (albeit 3 slices with butter and jam on 2 of them) i had 2 dips of my egg yolk, the fried bread but was only ¼ of a small loaf size, 2 forks of beans and 2 small glasses of OJ and a very low fat yogurt so it could have been a lot worse! drink wise well i think we bought 5 maybe 6 bottles of wine between 2 of us! who know my head is fuzzy and its done now!

When i got home i was hungry hangover munchies are great so i had 2 tesco meat free "chicken" grills on small brown bread with a slice of low low! much better than what i wanted (chocolate!)

The do its self was so much fun, the compare was good and not embarrassing and annoying as the dude at the willows i.

I only lasted til 10pm in my heels but i'm quite impressed i lasted that long! but even the flats hurt after a while!

This is quite a bad pic of the "turn" it was the woman in Blue who was the ABBAette she was good and everyone was up dancing and singing along
And one final picture the small blue bear looks very much like my SW classes Will Power. so i had to take a pic !!!

SW cottage pie for tea, yummy think i'm gonna go back to bed now night!xxx

Scan Bran Cake and Other Animals

Scan Bran Cake - 4½ Syns per cake
5 Slices of Scan Bran - 2syns (or use as HxB)
3 Eggs seperated
1 sachet of options - 2.5syns
½ mug of Sweeterner
Orange essence (if you fancy it)

Pour boiling water over the Scan Bran and drain and mush up, the add egg yolks, options and sweetener and mix, Beat the egg whites will firm and fold in to the scan bran mix.
Microwave for about 5 mins, it should be coming away from the sides of the bowl (i made mine in a classy pyrex dish)

We had ours with Frozen berries (mircowaved for one min) and tesco light choice vanilla iced dessert

Food today has been pretty good, tracking using the post it note on my phone is really helping, much more convenient than the paper or electronic food diary.

Food for today
Breakfast -
2x Tesco Light Choice sausages 2syns
2x Eggs
Tomato
mushrooms

Tea -
Roast chicken (skin removed after cooking)
Hassleback Potatoes
Carrots
Cabbage
Followed by fresh fruit salad - Kiwi, Apple, Orange and Pomegranate
After all that i wanted chocolate thats why i made the scan bran cake and Ice cream and berries - 5 Syns

= 7 Syns no A or B choices!

I know its naughty but had another sneaky peek again this morning and it was looking good really really good! I promise i don't take it as gospel and i've got this bloody Abba weekend when i have no control over the food, and i can't find the Menu, i'm assuming it'll all taste like microwave food and be really bad for me! i wish i wasn't going but still have to pay the full £60 if i don't go.

Just realised no A or B Choice because i only had ¼ of the cake i'm taking the Syns - Oh update Mama is making Cheese on toast for supper so that covers my A and B Choice!

Got a Bargain today i almost don't want to share it. Ok i will pre-sliced Low Low 84p from Sainsburys so we bought 7 packs! and we're gonna take some on holiday (can you see us getting deported from Lanzarote before we get in!)

As you may have heard on the News today was the Oldham East and Saddleworth Bi-election and i live in Oldham East so i have been and voted and we are still being Stalked by Elwyn Watkins, yet another phone call just now! every day at least 5 pieces of crap through the letter box just from the Lib Dems, not to mention the other 2 main ones, and the Pirate party which i feel very disappointed that they don't dress as pirates, then there is Paul Tall (errr Nuttall) every leaflets has been folded so his name looks like Tall - so we call that. Bored of the election before they close the polling stations!

Can't remember what else i had to say so i'll go xxxx

My Top Ten Tips

I've decided that when a topic in Image therpy speaks to me i'm going to blog about it, This week as in many groups up and down the country we had quite a few new members, as we did the usual weight  talk my consultant asked a few people for their slimmingworld tip.

A few that came out were stay to group, take measurements, don't get disheartened, eat all your syns. This got me thinking what would my top ten tips be, in no particular order.

1. Stay to group - it makes you think back over your week, gives you tips and ideas.

2a. Take a photo at the beggining, you don't have to show anyone if you don't want to. 2b. Keep taking photos These are my 1st pics of 2011, not very flattering but at least i have something other than those bloody scales to chart my progress!

3. Take your measurements - if the scales arn't moving the inches might be.

4. Eat lots, don't deprive yourself just because you're going to a slimming club doesn't mean you are restricted in what you can have.

5. Eat a wide varity of food, try new things you might surprise yourself - this was my tea today. Asda Pita Bread 2 x HxB steakm oinions, mushriooms, peppers, carrots, sugersnaps fry light fried in soysauce chilli flakes pinc thia 7 spice and 1 teaspoon of tomato purée (split between 4 portions) Then Apple, Pommergratte and orange

6. Chat to people in group and maybe even add them on facebook swap numbers for that essential midweek support, most of the regulars at my class are all friends on facebook we congratulate each other on success, we boost each other if having a bad week and help with odeas Syn values and other stuff!

7. Log your food, i know the pack gives 4 weeks food diaries ask your consultant for more, buy a book or do what i do- my phone has a virtuial post-it note on the front screen i use that

8. Take small Steps ½ stone at a time 10% at a time - i say walk before you can run, slow and steady win sthe race and all the other crap like that. I personally can't imagine being thin yet and when i was at my lightest i could feel my coller bone and bit and it freaked me out so i don't think i'll ever get too thin!

9. Do not get disheartened if you haven't lost as much as you were expecting! i truely beleive it will show the next week as long as you don't go wild - how does your body know the exact time and day you weigh in, how does it know to process and burn it all off. surely differnt things burn off at differnt speeeds? i don't know but as long as its a loss its right!

10. This is a silly one but i go into TK Maxx and i pick up the hand weights to the value of what i've lost and see how far i can walk round wityh them (just a note becareful i take no responsibility for anyone doing themselves a mischeif whist following this tip) i took this pic on 4th Jan when my Weight loss stood at 30lbs and i only managed to move them from one shelf to another.

There are many more tips and ui'm sure everyomne has there own, these are just mine and they change all the time.

Food for today

Muller light and a banana

Grill up

Pita and steak stir fry

Fruit salad

Burn Boook

OK so its not a book to slag off people al la Mean Girls but its what came into my head.

When i started my 2009 Slimmingworld Journey i decided i needed to document it, inspire myself with something tangible that i could hold read and use to help me, 2009 went really well i lost 26.5lbs by the year end. I did officially get my 2stone award but as normal i screwed up and put some back on.

I used the book to record each half stone loss and i also set myself mini challenges and worked towards my 10% goal.

As well as all this i cut out stories from the magazine to inspire me one of the most inspiring people is a guy called Roberto who lost over 20stone.

2010 marched round and until May when i got my 3.5stone award came round i was pretty focused and updating the book, not as much but still updating.

Well its 2011 now and i'm brining the book back out of retirement, i was chatting on twitter to Loz (i think don't quote me) and she inspired me to dig the book out, i was going to start a new one but then she said she wanted all her stuff together once she had finished her journey and i agree, it might have been a bumpy road but i will get there! There are loads of pics of this bloody book so apologies if you don't like pictures!

The reason i was going to start a new book was because in 2010 i managed to get to 49.5lbs loss then i managed to put 19.5lbs back on! and i felt i'd gone too far backwards, but i will do a new page weekly countdown until i get to my lowest weight, and going over my 10% take 2 circle (this will make sence if you can be bothered to flick through the photo album.

[[posterous-content:pid___0]]Food today has been pretty possitive:

Tea - Tomato Soup mango pork, Berries and Icecream = 8Syns

[[posterous-content:pid___2]]

[[posterous-content:pid___3]]

Supper - Cheese Toasty and tomato soup = HxA 2/3s and HxB

i also went on the Wii for 20 Mins i know its not much but better than nothing!

I'm feeling a but apprihensive for this meal at weekend as know one knows whats on the menu and i don't think there is a choice, i might emailm the hotel and ask i won't do it now incase they look at the time of the email and think i'm bonkers!

Planning is Key

I know this and yet my plans seem to go out the window!

I'm a slave to my cravings, someone mentions a food type i want it and not always but a lot of the time i give in! WHY? i don't know, i'm my own worse enemy.

Last week i managed one 100% slimmingworld day and i felt so good about it, that was Thursday then friday we went to Manchester had M&S cheese on toast and morrisons fish and chips ops! Then Friday night i went to a 30th and must have drunk a months worth of SYNs, we started out so well Vodka and slimline tonic, but we wern't getting drunk so 11pm we hit the Black Sambuca, then after 3 we still felt sober we moved on to Rosé wine and Sambucca shots! then at some point i had a pint of cider (er i don't drink cider unless its in a fancy bottle and tastes like pop)!!!

Before i went out

Jacquie, Laura, Nat and Me (look how big my belly is! must get back on track!)

Who though a Jagerbomb or what every it was, was a good idea - look there is the Cider!

The Best Picture of the Night Liam B'day Boy Lifting Coopy

last pic of the night

So with all that i need to get back on track!

Today food has been OK i think - err let me try and remember what i've had:

Muller Light

Plum

2 slices of W/Meal bread with ham and 2 slices of Low Low HxA and HxB

Roast beef, yorkshire pud, carrots, broccoli, roast potatoes, parsnips and Gravy 4syns

home made fruit crumble 5syns

Tesco Light Choice Icecream - i can't find syns for this! bummer

Lentil and Carrot soup

I am loving Morrisons Magazine for Slimming World friendly recipes, there are 3 red lentil recipes which only need one or two things changing one is fry light instead of oil and one is curry paste not sure how many syns is in it but i'd use curry powder

There are also a few Chinese recipes that for the whole dish is under 5syns (most have dry sherry in i'd leave this out as we don't have that in)

I made the Red Lentil, Carrot and Cumin soup from the Mossions mag and its really nice having it for Lunch tomorrow.

i've planned my weeks food, i think part of my problem is i don't eat enough during the day then once i have my tea i can't stop!

Its a little bit fishy!

Today was a trip to manchester shopping, fishy pedicure and some nauthty food!

1st shopping, i got a dress/long top and grey hoddie from H&M

some shoes from Clarks (i hate to shop there as reminds me of getting school shoes) but i really like these and a bargin at £14.39 instead of £47.99

They are very comfy and we are planning on quite a bit of walking on holiday so will be better than my normal £4 primark ballet pumps

I also got a bra from La Senzer (how do you spell that shop?)

some stone coloured Linen pants from New Look and a small bag almost the same colour as the shoes for £2.00!! Bargin, the bag didn't have a tag so i went and asked and i just hoped it wasn't over £5.00 (cheapskate i know!) i nearly fell over when the lad said £2.00!!!!

Inbetween all this shopping we had a fish pedicure, it anyone reads my blogshop blog (ps i've moved to posterous but still linking to blogger - hope that isn't too confusing!)

My feet went in No problem!

My mum needed a slight force in the knees

The next few pics are Manchester Catherdral i love this building

The Wheel

The roof of the Triangle

I want one of these doggies from the H&M window disply!
