weekend food disaster

oh well can say i have been totally and utterly off track this weekend, but tomorrow is a new day as they say, but tomorrow may not be much better as i'm off to Manchester Xmas Markets, it was a day out with my mum, shopping coffee xmas markets maybe a mulled wine or 3 and a pig butty (£4 as people keep telling me) but totally worth it!! MMMMMM PIG! haha sorry to people who don't won't can't eat pork but my got is my fave meat and pigs are soooo cute nom nom nom (sorry in a silly {sugar fuelled} mood) back to what i was saying it was a mama daughter day but now my friend Helen is coming as well as its her 30th Birthday and as her mum is poorly (emphysema or something similar) she is not up fro full days out) so we're taking Hels under our shopping wing and taking her out for dinner, i'm having my eye browns waxed at 9am so i will be bright red all day but xmas party on friday so needs must!
Dis anyone watch i'm a celeb - Gillian Mckeith what is she like! can't be doing with her fakery!
Ok so this isn't from tonight's show (its from the locked in a box one) but u get the idea, she is a muppet in my opinion!

Anyone know what an amazon kindle is? i kinda want one but i have no idea what it is or what it does!

where does time go to?

i have planned to blog every night this week and failed miserably to do so.

I can't really say anything good diet wise after a fab week last week all i have wanted to do is eat, and i haven't been too bad until the last couple of days friday there was very few times when i wasn't eating so naughty i took so many healthy things and only started on them once i had run out of cash buying naughty things, it doesn't help that there is a lot of "naughty" food about cos people are leaving work each week, peoples 12weeks notice period is coming to an end!

if you are new or have forgotten i am taking voluntary severance (redundancy) at work because i did not like my new job of call centre chicken
Don't get me wrong i loved speaking to customers and helping them, but i didn't like the pressure to promote additional services and the wrap time / AHT pressures so i decided to take the money and run, not i am pooping myself as to what i do now, i need to start applying for jobs and stuff but i'm on a course next week to help me and to top it all i've brought my leaving date forward to 3rd DEC ekkk 2 weeks away!

so eating well has been the last thing on my mind, but today i realised it should be at the forefront as when i'm being good i feel so much better about myself, so i'm back on track as of now!

we're having mango turkey with veg and rice for tea,

i have loads of photos and things to share but they are on my lap top and i'm on the PC.

i might do another post later with everything i want to say i really need to start planning my blogging as i just seem to prattle on.

it's my works xmas do next friday its a hollywood night, what every that might mean!

still not got outfit planned, i have 2 options at the moment a black long top from evans

with leggings and not sure what shoes or a blue dress from sainsburys its the one i'm wearing in this post!

i'm going to Manchester on Monday with my mum for a spot of shopping / visit the xmas markets but i'm pretty sure its between these two.

i've got another do on 4th dec so i'm thinking which ever o don't wear on friday i'll wear then!

just needs some shoes but don't know what sort i want!

best be off ski and make some tea xxxx

How hard can it be?

really? how hard is it to stick to Slimming World? In theory really easy, the basics unlimited free foods, 1 or 2 Healthy extras depending on what day your on, and upto 15 syns?

In practice its a little harder. In the beginning it was so much easier but now i can be 80-90% good but i keep slipping.

I know its not a really good excuse but ever since my mum got to Target earlier this year i've been slack and not sticking to it.

Food so far - Tuesday
Breakfast All bran HxB  with a muller light yogurt
Snacks throught the day - frozen fruit, cottage cheese and carrots, satsuma, grapes, banana, square crisps
Lunch savoury rice, with loads of extra veg, salad and ham, then a jacket spud and beans (i was hungry)
Tea Pork chop, jacket potato and tinned tomatoes. timeout bar 8.5syns

Syns 13.5

Lunch savoury rice salad, chicken and turky tikka. time out 8.5syns

Syns 12.5syns

it was all going so well but my dad has bought a tonne of dairy milk and i've just been down to make a brew and accidentally ate 2! hooooeeeeeeeee they syns! going to try and cut back tomorrow! but just remebered i'm going out at weekend, need to try and be good until weekend.

in other news i have a twitchy eye, think its where i'm sat at work its like having a KGB spot light on me, but we're a bit limited on desks so no where to move to, plus the billing team have now started having the radio on, i don't approve! we've been back office for years no customer calls and we were never allowed the radio on, but now they are call centre 100s of calls an hour they have the radio on, now its only on low but its too low to be use nor ornament and makes me feel travel sick! ok rant over!

These pics are in a radom place but i can't seem to move them - Meet Rooney Next doors cat, he was being a sweetie and let me take some pics of him
Then we played chase the camera strap, i could see disaster on the horizon so i cut that game short!
I wouldn't say i was bored on Monday (i think i lose track of the days) but the lego decided to have a show down!
In better news i lost 2lbs this week at slimming world, but not sure how, after last weeks mammoth gain i kinda gave up all hope and ate myself into a piggy stupor, i think i did it to prove to myself i'd gain in my head (and home scales) but the scales would show a loss on the Slimming World ones and it worked, in a really roundabout way! if i'd been good i could have lost loads! but 2lbs is 2lbs so not complaining!
My legs look odd in this and i was having a terrible hair day! but i love this dress it was only about £4.00 from TJ Hughes.

Funny Email of 2010 - had to share

i'VE COPIED N PASTED DIRECT FROM MY EMAIL XXX

Kulula is a low-cost South-African airline that doesn't take itself too seriously.
Check out their new livery

***i can't get the pics to load but see HERE ***

Subject: From the cockpit on KULULA.COM- South Africa's Budget Airline

WHAT A PITY KULULA DOESN'T FLY NTERNATIONALLY - WE SHOULD SUPPORT THEM IF ONLY FOR THEIR HUMOUR - SO TYPICALLY SOUTH AFRICAN.

Kulula is an Airline with head office situated in Johannesburg.  Kulula airline attendants make an effort to make the in-flight "safety lecture" and announcements a bit more entertaining. Here are some real examples that have been heard or reported:
------------------------------------------------------------------
On a Kulula flight, (there is no assigned seating, you just sit where you want) passengers were apparently having a hard time choosing, when a flight attendant announced, "People, people we're not picking out furniture here, find a seat and get in it!"

                 ---o0o---

On another flight with a very "senior" flight attendant crew, the pilot said, "Ladies and gentlemen, we've reached cruising altitude and will be turning down the cabin lights. This is for your comfort and to enhance the appearance of your flight attendants."

                 ----o0o---

On landing, the stewardess said, "Please be sure to take all of your belongings.. If you're going to leave anything, lease make sure it's something we'd like to have."

                 ----o0o---

"There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only 4 ways out of this airplane."

                 ---o0o---

"Thank you for flying Kulula. We hope you enjoyed giving us the business
as much as we enjoyed taking you for a ride."

                 ---o0o---

As the plane landed and was coming to a stop at Durban Airport , a lone voice came over the loudspeaker: "Whoa, big fella. WHOA!"

                 ---o0o---

After a particularly rough landing during thunderstorms in the Karoo , a flight attendant on a flight announced, "Please take care when opening the overhead compartments because, after a landing like that, sure as hell everything has shifted."

                 ---o0o---

From a Kulula employee: " Welcome aboard Kulula 271 to Port Elizabeth.  To operate your seat belt, insert the metal tab into the buckle, and pull tight. It works just like every other seat belt; and if you don't know how to operate one, you probably shouldn't be out in public unsupervised."

                 ---o0o---

"In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, masks will descend from the ceiling. Stop screaming, grab the mask, and pull it over your face. If you have a small child travelling with you, secure your mask before assisting with theirs. If you are travelling with more than one small child, pick your favourite."

                 ---o0o---

Weather at our destination is 50 degrees with some broken clouds, but we'll try to have them fixed before we arrive. Thank you, and remember, nobody loves you, or your money, more than Kulula Airlines."

                 ----o0o---

"Your seats cushions can be used for flotation; and in the event of an emergency water landing, please paddle to shore and take them with our compliments."

                 ---o0o---

"As you exit the plane, make sure to gather all of your belongings.   Anything left behind will be distributed evenly among the flight attendants. Please do not leave children or spouses.."

                 ---o0o---

And from the pilot during his welcome message: "Kulula Airlines is pleased to announce that we have some of the best flight attendants in the industry. Unfortunately, none of them are on this flight!"

                 ---o0o---

Heard on Kulula 255 just after a very hard landing in Cape Town : The flight attendant came on the intercom and said, "That was quite a bump and I know what y'all are thinking. I'm here to tell you it wasn't the airline's fault, it wasn't the pilot's fault, it wasn't the flight attendant's fault, it was the asphalt."

                 ---o0o---

Overheard on a Kulula flight into Cape Town , on a particularly windy and bumpy day: During the final approach, the Captain really had to fight it. After an extremely hard landing, the Flight Attendant said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to The Mother City. Please remain in your seats    with your seat belts fastened while the Captain taxis what's left of our airplane to the gate!"

                 ---o0o---

Another flight attendant's comment on a less than perfect landing: "We ask you to please remain seated as Captain Kangaroo bounces us to the terminal."

                 ---o0o---

An airline pilot wrote that on this particular flight he had hammered his ship into the runway really hard. The airline had a policy which required the first officer to stand at the door while the passengers exited, smile, and give them a "Thanks for flying our airline. He said that, in light of his bad landing, he had a hard time looking the passengers in the eye, thinking that someone would have a smart comment.
Finally everyone had gotten off except for a little old lady walking with a cane. She said, "Sir, do you mind if I ask you a question?" "Why, no Ma'am," said the pilot. "What is it?" The little old lady said, "Did we land, or were we shot down?"

                 ---o0o---

After a real crusher of a landing in Johannesburg , the attendant came on with, "Ladies and Gentlemen, please remain in your seats until Captain Crash and the Crew have brought the aircraft to a screeching halt against the gate. And, once the tire smoke has cleared and the warning bells are silenced, we will open the door and you can pick your way through the wreckage to the terminal.."

                 ---o0o---

Part of a flight attendant's arrival announcement: "We'd like to thank you folks for flying with us today.. And, the next time you get the insane urge to go blasting through the skies in a pressurized metal tube, we hope you'll think of Kulula Airways."

                 ---o0o---

Heard on a Kulula flight. "Ladies and gentlemen, if you wish to smoke, the smoking section on this airplane is on the wing.. If you can light 'em, you can smoke 'em."

                 ---o0o---

A plane was taking off from Durban Airport . After it reached a comfortable cruising altitude, the captain made an announcement over the intercom, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking.  Welcome to Flight Number 293, non-stop from Durban to Cape Town , The weather ahead is good and, therefore, we should have a smooth and uneventful flight.. Now sit back and relax... OH, MY GOODNESS!" Silence followed, and after a few minutes, the captain came back on the intercom and said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, I am so sorry if I scared you earlier. While I was talking to you, the flight attendant accidentally spilled a cup of hot coffee in my lap. You should see the front of my pants!"

Happy Halloween

Today we went for a meal for my Grans B'day - we went to the Great Western, in Marsden for Sunday Lunch. i took my camera in order to get some views of Saddleworth Moor but as we passed through Delph it became foggier and foggier and we almost missed the turn to the pub as the viability was so poor.
For £9.95 you got a main course and a pudding - i had Roast Pork so did my gran, my mum and dad had roast beef and my uncle alan had turkey, such big portions, but it was so nice. my mum had this heart cake which was lovely
i had this rocky road cake! it was odd but really really nice and the ice cream was lush and i don't really like ice cream!
Last night i went to the pub with my friend, her hubby, her 2 sisters and their fellas and i felt very single very very single, its not that they were all lovely dovey but it made me feel crap. the pic avove shows my new dress / top type thing.

we got summons to my friends mums house at 10pm as they had family up and myself and my friends hubby got plastered! rip roaringly drunk ops! i'd like to apologise to anyone i text i got text happy and i'm really sorry to anyone i texted!

i went to see Easy A tonight, i really quite enjoyed it, it was funny a bit cringy in parts and very predictable but still enjoyable, i loved the 80s movies references and i too want tmy life to be directed by John Hughes
was a fun easy watch! go see it xxx

blah!

today is blah - not in a bad way or a good way just blah - food not brill but not bad, i had a bit of this micky mouse shaped doughnut i got sucked in a tesco and they are minging save your 70p! and some of these retro mushrooms and a few winegums.

the sign tickled me as i wander past to tesco to buy these offending items for my team.

i went to the doc about my back, he didn't say much but i have asked for a referral for a hearing test, for a long time i've felt i'm going deaf... when i was little i had problems and had grommets (sp) fitted twice! my mum is totally deaf in one ear and all 3 of my grandparents have hearing aids. i know my hearing isn't brill i can hear back ground noise brilliantly but when people are speaking directly too me i miss words, usually i can guess i'll here do you ....  ...  brew? plus i work in Bolton so there are always the peter kay esk hand gestures, so i construct my own sentences in my head. but it's getting worse, if someone has there back to me i get very little my mum gets well naffed off with me today in tesco i asked her t repeat as she had her back to me and someone right next to me spoke at the same time and i saw her mutter but still didn't get a word of it. but its hard to try and explain to someone as i'm "too young" to be deaf but i'm getting there. i've asked a number of times at the docs about it but cos i tend to only go when i have a cold /flu they usually dismiss me.

my maternal gran has this frequency hearing problem which is she struggles hearing face to face conversations if there is back ground noise and i think thats kinda what i have, i've never been able to here people on nights out, if i know there voice well i can usually get by but if they are new to me i have no chance most of the time they think i'm too drunk to understand but its noise noise noise and silence silence silence

OUCH

i went to IKEA Ashton today - i love IKEA , if you follow me on Twitter you will know about my IKEA Love, we only spent £18.00 but got loads including funky bun cases, plates and napkins (and a napkin holder) for Xmas, some gift bags, some bag for life and egg cups - wasn't a bad get.
i decided to make the most of a disply to take my photo of me of the day. Jeans from Sainsbury's a couple of years ago the t-shirt is from ASDA its a girls face which you can't really see the art work reminds me of an old flat mate from Uni and the drawing is kinda the style her boyfriend does, and the coat is a hand me down from my mum today (yeas it meant to be that creased as my asked today)
pleassse can i have my present in a gift bag like this please.

had a crash on my driving lesson, feeling pretty pants now, don't worry i am ok and so is every one else if not a little achy and bruised and ego bruised.

i made some butterfly cakes after my crash (is that normal behaviour - it took my mind off thinking) had about 3 of them (only1 with the butter cream)

other than that foood wise has been a lot better,

mullerlight

2 sliced of w/meal bread with cornbeef and mustard 2syns
pork chop, tomatoes, muffin 7syns
freddo 5syns
3 fairy cakes - so yes i have gone over syns but it could have been worse, gonna watch nevermind the buzzcocks then celebrity jucie and try and get some sleep, the aches and pain are kicking in x

confuddled.com

hmmmm i'm all mixed up about how much i weigh,

when i got on the scales on Monday i swear it came up 16st 11.5lbs which would have been a 2.5lbs loss i think, but when i looked at the PDA (i do the scales as well as being a member) i saw loss 3.05, which i assumed was the weekly loss, errr thats not right then above it i saw 1.5lbs lost, hmmm not good i wanted more. but then the covering consultant took my card out and i never noticed my weight on the PDA readout, i'd already got off the scale so it wasn't on that display any more, then in group she read out, 1.5lbs lost this week 3st ½lb loss in total, well in my working out (which isn't always very good i'll be honest) is 42.5lbs taken off my start weigh would put me at 16st 13.5lbs as of monday night, HMMMMM not happy and feeling confused as i'm 99.9999999% sure it was 16st 11.5lbs. HMMMGRRR

WHY DO WE CARE SO MUCH ABOUT THOSE BLOODY SCALES?

i'm gonna ask my consultant if i can look though all my losses, cos like a fool i never take my book and get her to write my weight down! i might have to start as i'm getting very mixed up.

no outfit photo today as i put my pjs on as soon as i got home from work, but i wore some brown trousers from tesco and a cream and blue stripy top (the one i wore to the band contest in june - if anyone was reading back then) x

it's my day off tomorrow gonna do some planning food wise as i've been a bit off track tday, not intentially but due to not waking up Iahem being woken up) at 8.30am, i didn't have any breakfast, then about 11am i had some huggy bear biscuits (6syns) then i was busy til my dinner at 2.30pm when i had speed food soup - it was lovely but it wasn't what i wanted, then i moved desks as i've gone back to my old team i wanted something so the skinniest person i know gave me 2 biscuits, then i had a clemetine, and apple a packet of square crisps, then a lion bar (this was between 3 -5.30pm)

when i got home at 8.45pm i had 1.5 asda pita breads (hxb +3syns) chicken stir fryed in soy sauce, black pepper and chilli flakes with onions mushrooms and cherry toms, then i had some more bread then some toast a biscuit and some cheese to get my a choice in. piggy pig.

why do i keep eating to much, i know exactly what i am doing yet i carry on!

planning tomorrow!

i miss bitch cakes

she has only been AFK for 2 days but i miss her tweets, since i started following her which is only about a week ago i have been constantly checking twitter (not just for her but she was the reason to start with).

i understand her reason and i accept them and to be honest i have only ever commented once or twice on her blog because she gets so many replies to them and i have only ever messaged her twice on twitter once by accident cos i still don't understand twitter. i was buzzing because she replied to one on them and now she has vanished, i don't think she has put anything on her weight loss blog but it on her the world according to bithcakes site that she wants to be left alone.

Bitch cakes i <3 you hope you are in a better place very soon.

Ok back to me.

This a pic i took of the cat last noght, just makes me laugh i thought i'd share it with you
Its christmas time in Oldhams town centre, this years decorations are much nicer than normal they are usually the same design but purple, at least this year they look festive. i still can't believe Santa would live in a castle, i always imagine a log cabin like the Alp Uncle on Heidi

I was on the search for a woolly hat, just something simple to keep my ears warm, but sadly i do not suit hats! i even tried some snoods on but they did nowt for me !
a while back i used to post what i wore each day, well whist i was in ASDAs changing rooms i thought i'd start this again, it might nt be every day but i like the idea of recording what i wear.

Dress is a hand me down but from H&M originally, brown leggins from Tesco (2 for £8.00) and boots from Primark. Coat a hand me down but i think that was ASDA and the hand bag is from H&M
I had the best tea in the whole world tonight (well its defo up there)

Slimming world speed food soup which can be very thick, with macaroni and turkey meat balls
The soups sounds disgusting but it is lovely and very filling and very good for weight loss.

the way i made it today was.
i dumped (a technical term if ever there was one)
i used the slow cooker over night but a soup pan would work just as well
1 x 400g tin of bean
2 x 400g tins of tomatoes (passata would work as well)
1 x 200g tinned carrots (or 2 fresh ones)
1x onion
a generaous handfull or 2 of dried red lentils

a generaous handfull or 2 of dried soup mix  (or a can of green lentils)
1x yellow pepper chopped into chunks

2 x veg stock cubes and enough water to cover everything - keep an eye on the water level as i didn't presoak any of the dried pulses i had to top it up a couple of times.

the official recipe is slightly differnt and as long as your getting your superfree you can add what every you like.

The meatballs were dead simple!

low fat minced turkey breast
dried herbs ( ABOUT A TEASPOON)
chilli flakes
black pepper
a small onion finely chopped
1 clove of garlic minced up

mix it all together i made 18 small meat balls and cooked in the oven for about 20mins at 180 degrees C.

i really enjoyed it and will defo be having it again! ideally like to lose 12.5lbs before xmas but to be honest as long as i have a loss each week no mater how small i promise to be happy.

sorry this post has become rather longer than i had planned, i'll bog off now good night x
