At last weeks SW class the leader was talking to us about Scan Bran, she was saying she'd never used it herself but after going to a leaders meeting they had all been talking about it, now the cynic in me thinks it may be a marketing ploy, but who am i to argue with the power of marketting!!!!
We didn't buy any from class but after looking at recipes on it thanks to the power of google, we decided to make to Scan Bran choc cake. now i really didn't think it would be nice but anything that is only 6 syns + 1 HxB is worth a shot in my book. (thats for the whole cake!!!!)
Low syn chocolate cake
Syns for the whole cake : 9 yummy syns OR 6 1/2 + 1 healthy extra B choice.

- 5 Scan bran
- 3 beaten eggs
- 1 level tablespoon golden syrup
- 1oz cocoa powder
- 1/2 mug sweetener
1.Soak the scan bran in hot boiling water until softened, drain and mash.
2.Mix all the ingredients together and pour into a microwavable bowl.
3. Microwave on high for 7 minutes, when cooked the cake will be springy to the touch and will have pulled away from the side.
the recipe i used is from I Village but the power of google has millions of variations.
Here's a picture of the one i made!!!!! it'd be really nice with some LF ice cream or a vanilla Muller Light, sadly we had neither in, but my mum had her peice with frozen summer berrys and she said was lovely!!!Me and my mum went over to see my gran this evening, nothing unusual or exciting about that but wanted to share a picture of the flowers her cousin bought her, not sure what kind they are but they are very pretty!!!
And finally does anyone think Kitty~Anne is feeling a little bit grumpy today?
Or could it be she's on a come down?!?!?!
My mama bought her a cat toy that can be filled with Catnip and its a mouse with leapod print faux fur. and it looks very much like her and although she's been trying to be a notchalant about not liking it she <3's>
